“A Tribute to The Judds” is a collaborative tribute album released to commemorate The Judds’ 40th anniversary. The album is currently available.

Fans of The Judds received an early Christmas gift on Friday as a star-studded lineup, including Blake Shelton, Dolly Parton, Lainey Wilson, Reba McEntire, and Jelly Roll, came together for “A Tribute to The Judds.” This all-star compilation, celebrating The Judds’ 40th anniversary, features their greatest hits.
“A Tribute to The Judds” is available now.
Blake Shelton, who joins forces with his wife Gwen Stefani to cover “Love Is Alive,” expressed his admiration for The Judds, calling them one of the greatest country acts of their era. He particularly holds the country music of the ’80s in high regard and has been singing Judd songs for as long as he can remember. Shelton and Stefani aimed to stay faithful to the original version of “Love Is Alive.”
Stefani added that she has always held The Judds in high esteem and is thrilled to be part of this project. She described “Love Is Alive” as an iconic track and emphasized that performing it with Blake is a fitting way to pay tribute to The Judds’ timeless musical legacy.
Ashley McBryde collaborated with Shelly Fairchild to perform “Rockin’ With The Rhythm of the Rain” for this project, following multiple tour dates alongside Wynonna in recent months. In an Instagram post, McBryde expressed her deep appreciation for the opportunity to pay tribute to The Judds, considering them the most iconic country duo of all time. She also mentioned the invaluable friendship she has with Shelly Fairchild and expressed gratitude to Wynonna for including them in the project and for her friendship.
Mother-daughter duo O.N.E The Duo joined forces with “The Voice” alum Wendy Moten to cover “Had A Dream (For The Heart),” which happens to be the first single ever released by The Judds. Tekitha from O.N.E The Duo shared that the recording experience was special because they all recorded together on the same day with Wendy Moten, who they consider to be like family. Wendy’s humor and their close bond made the recording session a memorable one.
Brent Maher, who has worked with both The Judds and O.N.E The Duo, produced the track, creating a serendipitous connection for Tekitha and her team. The overall experience of recording for the tribute album felt right and easy, leading them to believe it was the right thing to do. The collaboration with Maher was seamless and a great experience.
The album features a diverse array of artists, including Wynonna Judd, Ashley McBryde, Barnett, Lynne, and West, Carl Perkins, Carly Pearce, Cody Johnson, Ella Langley, Gabby Barrett, Jamey Johnson, Jennifer Nettles, LeAnn Rimes, Megan Moroney, Molly Tuttle, Raul Malo, Rob Ickes, Shelly Fairchild, Sonya Isaacs, The Fisk Jubilee Singers, Trey Hensley, and Trisha Yearwood.
It’s noteworthy that all the songs on “A Tribute To The Judds” were developed by Brent Maher, the original producer of The Judds and a six-time Grammy award winner, except for “Cry Myself to Sleep,” which was produced by Cactus Moser.
In addition to celebrating the music of The Judds, “A Tribute to The Judds” has partnered with the National Alliance of Mental Illness Tennessee in honor of Naomi Judd.
