HARDY: “It’s Going to Be Remarkably Impressive.”

HARDY, renowned for his collaborative HIXTAPE series, is taking a unique turn for the third volume by paying tribute to Joe Diffie. Despite Diffie’s passing in 2020 due to COVID-19 complications, HARDY, along with friends Morgan Wallen and Post Malone, is reviving some of Diffie’s greatest hits. Presently, two songs are available: “Pickup Man” featuring Diffie and Post Malone, and “John Deere Green” featuring Diffie, HARDY, and Wallen. These tracks are part of HARDY’s upcoming “HIXTAPE Vol. 3: DIFFTAPE,” set to release on March 29.

HARDY emphasized that this project is coming to fruition “by the grace of God” and Joe Diffie’s Estate. Acquiring a selection of Diffie’s master recordings, HARDY combined some of Diffie’s vocals with those of today’s prominent artists.

“It’s going to be badass,” expressed HARDY, conveying his genuine excitement about the project.

“DIFFTAPE” will feature 2006 master recordings of Joe Diffie’s greatest hits collection, complemented by new vocals from HARDY’s collaborators.

In a shared statement, the Diffie Estate expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Big Loud and HARDY, emphasizing their commitment to preserving and revitalizing Joe Diffie’s musical legacy. The collaboration is seen as a continuation of the remarkable journey of this true legend.

HARDY expressed being “super excited” about this “one-of-a-kind project” and highlighted that he is the first person to attempt such an endeavor.

“Joe epitomized the ’90s country voice – he was so good about hearing and cutting hits, recording amazing songs,” HARDY remarked. “On a personal level, I only got to meet Joe once, but he was extremely nice to me, and this was in my first year of being an artist when I was an absolute nobody. He was so, so kind to me, and that memory I have of him is truly special to me, too.”
