Jimmie Allen, the country singer, has countersued two women who accused him of sexual assault. One of the alleged victims, a former member of his management team, claimed that he raped and assaulted her over an extended period, while the second accuser alleged that he assaulted her in a Las Vegas hotel room and secretly recorded the encounter. These accusations had a significant impact on Allen’s career, leading to him being dropped by his record label, losing his publicist, agent, management company, and multiple business deals.

In response to the allegations, Allen filed a countersuit, claiming that one of the accusers defamed him and the other took his cell phone without permission. His countersuit aims to protect his reputation, refute the claims, and address the severe damage caused to his family, mental health, and business. Allen cited the need to prioritize his family’s well-being before responding to the allegations. He mentioned the humiliation he experienced and highlighted the ongoing racism and harmful threats he has faced as a Black man in the country music industry, which have been exacerbated by this situation.

Allen’s lawyers have requested monetary damages and denied the allegations, accusing the first accuser of making deliberate and malicious statements to Variety, resulting in defamation. The second accuser claimed that Allen filmed their sexual encounter without her consent and engaged in non-consensual sexual contact after she withdrew her consent for not wearing a condom. Allen’s counterclaim asserts that their sexual encounter was consensual and that the second accuser had agreed to the recording but took his phone without permission.

The lawyer representing the accusers stated that Allen’s filings were expected and that they would present evidence to counter his claims, asserting that he is a serial abuser who should be held accountable. The lawyer expressed concern over the trend of perpetrators countersuing their victims for defamation, aiming to discourage victims from speaking out.

Allen, who has personal connections to victims of rape, emphasized the hurt caused by the false allegations and the financial damage inflicted on his band, team, and their families. He expressed that the accusations led to the loss of numerous business and endorsement opportunities that he had worked hard to secure.
