During their meeting, Dolly Parton humorously referred to herself as “Ms. Worldwide,” as recounted by the rapper Pitbull.

“Dale, meet Dolly!”

In his latest song “Powerful Women,” Pitbull pays tribute to the strength and resilience of women everywhere. Appropriately, the track features a sample from the iconic Dolly Parton, a powerhouse in the country music scene.

The song cleverly samples Parton’s renowned track “9 to 5,” with Pitbull, aged 43, delivering his verses over the familiar melody, celebrating the fortitude of single mothers, working women, and other influential ladies.

In a picture shared online, featuring the “Jolene” singer and the “Hotel Room Service” musician standing side by side, Pitbull expressed his gratitude, writing, “It’s an honor to be collaborating with one of music’s most powerful women, gracias @dollyparton! Dale!”

During a concert in Raleigh, N.C., on Thursday, the Grammy winner reminisced about his encounter with the iconic artist, telling fans, “This morning I had the pleasure, the honor, to be able to meet the one, the only, and the living legend, Dolly Parton.”

The rapper, also known by the nickname Mr. Worldwide, shared that according to Parton, she humorously remarked, “You know I’m Ms. Worldwide, right?”

Pitbull, renowned for his array of star-studded collaborations such as “Timber” with Ke$ha and Usher’s “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love,” is presently embarking on The Trilogy Tour alongside his “I Like It” collaborator Enrique Iglesias and Ricky Martin.

Parton debuted her 49th solo album, a collaboration-rich project titled “Rockstar,” in November. Notably, the album achieved her highest chart placement to date. It comprises a blend of covers and original compositions, alongside notable collaborations with artists such as Paul McCartney, Elton John, and Pink.
